Persian text to speech for reading and expressive voiceovers

VowelMarks turns Persian (Farsi) text directly into audio. Use Basic Voice for reading aloud or Premium Voice for a lesson, story or voiceover, with delivery presets, custom direction and inline cues. Adding vowel marks first is optional; you can inspect the reading in Marked Persian whenever you need it.

Try a real Basic Voice before signing in

Choose Kian or Leyla, paste your Persian, and listen. Adjust playback speed to suit your ear, with consistent voice choices on your phone, tablet, and computer.

Download and keep the audio you make

Download finished audio from either voice tier. When you are signed in, you can also save Premium recordings to your private library, then play, rename, download, or delete them from your account.

One passage. Every way to work with it.

Make a Persian recording, explore vowel marks or Pinglish, translate, look into word origins, and ask VowelMarks AI. Your text stays with you as you move between tools.

A quiet story opening

A short voiceover: let the scene unfold, then give the last line room.

Inspect the script and direction

پنجره را باز کرد. بوی باران در اتاق پیچید. روی شاخهٔ خشک، یک جوانهٔ سبز پیدا شده بود. برای اولین بار بعد از آن زمستان بلند، لبخند زد.

Director’s notes

Read this original Iranian Persian story quietly and warmly. Let the scene unfold at a measured pace. Pause briefly before the final sentence; let its smile sound hopeful, not theatrical.

Script starter

A listening lesson

Listen for the change of plan. Why did Leila and her brother go to the library?

Inspect the script and direction

قرار بود لیلا و برادرش جمعه به پارک بروند. صبح باران می‌بارید، پس به کتابخانه رفتند. لیلا یک کتاب دربارهٔ پرندگان پیدا کرد و برادرش داستان کوتاهی خواند. ساعت دو، وقتی باران بند آمد، با هم به خانه برگشتند.

Director’s notes

Read this Iranian Persian classroom listening passage clearly and naturally. Use an unhurried pace and brief sentence pauses. Keep the delivery conversational, not theatrical; do not add an introduction or explanation.

Why VowelMarks for Persian TTS?

Generate and direct a complete Persian recording

Choose a voice, direct its delivery and download the result in one workspace. Premium Voice includes clear-reading, storytelling and news presets, speaking pace, Director’s notes, and cues for pauses, emphasis and emotion. Optional vowel marks, Ezafe and Pinglish help you inspect the text alongside the audio.

Compare pronunciation and vocal performance separately: a reading-model accuracy score does not measure audio naturalness. Use the public recordings with their scripts and direction as a starting point, then test your own passage. Listen to Persian samples and inspect the scripts · Reading-accuracy methodology

Premium Voice

Direct the Persian performance, not just the playback

Turn your Farsi script into a lesson, story or voiceover. Premium Voice gives you expressive narration controls in a Studio built around your text: choose a voice and preset, describe the performance, and add cues where the delivery should change.

Find the voice for your text

Audition Persian voice samples, then choose clear reading, storytelling, or news—or build the delivery yourself in Custom Voice Studio.

Describe the performance in your own words

In Custom Voice Studio, direct the character, setting, energy, articulation, pauses, breath, and mood. For example: warm and close to the microphone, deliberate, with a short pause before the final line.

Direct the moments that matter

Add a pause at the turning point, emphasize a phrase, or give a line a happy, gentle, dramatic, or whispered delivery. Insert a cue where it belongs in the Persian text.

Set the speaking pace. Change the listening speed.

Choose how deliberately the narrator speaks when you generate. Adjust playback speed as you listen to the finished recording.

Follow and keep the result

Follow the spoken words in the marked Persian, download your audio, and keep signed-in Premium recordings in your personal library.

Give your dialogue two distinct speakers

Assign each passage to a speaker. Build a conversation, a story exchange or a two-voice lesson, then hear the whole script as one recording.

Read Persian aloud for pronunciation practice, make audio for a listening lesson, or direct a story or video voiceover. Listen through the result for pronunciation, pauses and expression before using it in your project; reading marks remain available as an optional companion.

Common questions

Persian and Farsi text to speech

Find your voice, direct the performance, and keep the Persian script connected to the sound.

Can I use Persian text to speech without an account?

Yes. Enjoy a complimentary Premium Voice allowance for your own Persian text without an account. When the promotional allowance is used, create a free account to continue with your account's allowance. Basic Voice remains available without an account.

Can I generate Persian speech without adding vowel marks first?

Yes. Paste ordinary Persian or Farsi text into Speech, choose a voice and generate the audio directly in VowelMarks. Adding vowel marks is optional; you do not need to prepare the text in another tool or send it to another speech service. If you want to inspect pronunciation, open Marked Persian for contextual short vowels and Ezafe, or Pinglish for Latin-letter pronunciation. Your passage stays with you between tools.

Which Persian voices and controls are available?

Basic Voice offers Kian and Leyla with adjustable playback speed. Premium Voice adds expressive, human-like Persian narration, voice previews, clear-reading, storytelling and news presets, and Custom Voice Studio. Choose a voice and delivery, set the speaking pace, and use Director’s notes and inline cues to shape emotion, emphasis, pauses and reactions.

Can I download Persian speech as MP3, WAV or SRT subtitles?

Yes. The export menu shows the formats available for each recording: MP3 for sharing and Pro WAV export for editing. Long recordings may use WAV, and conversion availability can restrict the format choice. SRT captions are available only when the recording has word timings; review their timing before publishing. Sign in to save Premium recordings in your private library, then play, rename, download or delete them later.

Can I use VowelMarks for Persian voiceovers and listening lessons?

Yes. Paste your Persian script, choose a voice, and use Premium Voice presets or Custom Voice Studio to direct the performance. Add cues for particular phrases, listen to the result, and download the audio for your project. The voiceover and teacher guides below show how to build a narration or a listening exercise from the same text.

What is the difference between speaking pace and playback speed?

Speaking pace directs how the narrator performs a new recording. Playback speed changes how quickly you hear audio that has already been made, without generating it again. Use speaking pace for the performance and playback speed for listening or review.

How do I choose the best Persian text-to-speech tool for my project?

Compare the same Persian passage in the tools you are considering. Listen separately for correct words, names, numbers and Ezafe, and for natural pauses, rhythm and expression. For voiceovers, also compare voice choice, delivery controls, downloads, subtitle support and usage limits. VowelMarks provides Basic reading voices and Premium expressive narration with presets, custom direction and inline cues. Listen to the public samples on this page, inspect their scripts and direction, then try your own passage; the best fit depends on the voice and project.

Does reading-model accuracy measure how natural the voice sounds?

No. A reading-model accuracy score measures the inferred pronunciation of written Persian. It is not a listening score for generated audio or proof that one speech service sounds better than another. Judge pronunciation, naturalness and expressive delivery separately by listening to the same script. VowelMarks' accuracy page describes the reading evaluation and its limitations.

Can I create Persian dialogue with two speakers?

Yes. In Premium Voice, choose Add speaker and select the second voice. Assign each passage to its speaker and direct individual moments with inline cues. Set each speaker’s delivery, speaking pace and Director’s notes within that script.

Can I design a new voice from a description?

Yes. Sign in, open the voice picker and choose Create your own voice. Describe the timbre, texture, apparent age and accent you want. This creates a new synthetic voice; it does not clone a real person. Once created, select it from your private voices. Voice-creation limits and your account's speech allowance still apply.
